Tom Blandford

Tom is the firm’s chief financial officer and award-winning accountant (Yorkshire Accountant of the Year 2019). He has almost two decades of experience working strategically with legal firms.

Like any good CFO, Tom always starts with data-driven internal budgeting, forecasting and result monitoring. This information then enables him to work closely with the rest of the team to drive business performance forwards.

Tom started his career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he worked in their professional practices team. More recently, he was a partner in Armstrong Watson’s specialist legal sector team, where he worked exclusively with legal clients and hundreds of SME law firms. During this time, Tom was the lead partner for over 50 different firms, from large to small, niche to high street.

In addition to holding a graduate diploma in Mergers and Acquisitions from Imperial College Business School, Tom is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a member of the Chartered Management.

Outside of work, Tom seems to spend most of his time sat waiting in the car park of his daughter’s gymnastics club.
