Melanie has a strong legal background, having completed her law school exams and worked in a number of large commercial firms.
Melanie qualified as a solicitor and Commissioner for Oaths at Roche Legal in 2017, having initially joined the firm in April 2015 as a paralegal and then successfully completed her Training Contract with us.
Melanie is also an Associate Member for Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE), an independent, national organisation of lawyers who provide specialist legal advice for older and vulnerable clients, their families and carers. Melanie has achieved the Older Client Care in Practice (OCCP) Award from SFE.
At Roche Legal, Melanie works on a variety of cases, providing advice to clients in relation to disputed Wills and estates, missing persons law, Wills and estate planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters and estate administration. Tailoring her advice to the specific needs of each client, Melanie takes satisfaction in giving a clear, friendly and professional service to every individual.
The more personal approach she is able to offer clients here at Roche Legal is something that Melanie particularly likes about the firm. She finds it very rewarding to help people who are faced with often difficult decisions on how they can best provide for their loved ones in the future.
Melanie also gives her time to charitable work throughout the year both at work and at home. As a Dementia Friend Champion, Melanie is also able to hold Dementia Friend Information Sessions to help encourage others to make a positive difference to people living with dementia in their community.
Melanie is DBS checked (previously called a CRB check) and so you can feel confident should she visit you at home.
